Mount Martha – February 2019

It was a glorious, calm & sunny morning as we met at Mount Martha Beach South, there were ten club members & three visiting ladies.

We were soon all on the water paddling South around the rocky headland of Mount Martha. Richard & Martin headed off ahead of us for Richard’s last paddle before he heads off for New Zealand, our three visitors soon got the hang of paddling & using their footrests.

We said our goodbyes to Richard & that left twelve of us enjoying the calm conditions, a huge rocky grotto made for a lovely photo shoot.

Beautiful clear water made it easy to spot starfish & small fish, Brian said he saw a King George whiting.

We continued along the beachfront at Mount Martha as the Spirit of Tasmania headed down the bay.

After a good hour & a half we came back to shore just in time to have the waves of a passing ship bring many paddlers ashore in a rush, getting wet in Summer is fun!

Thanks to all for your help today & for our lovely morning tea.
