It was a windy, cool morning as we met at Devil’s Bend reservoir. A safety brief was given before we entered the water & an anti-clockwise course was chosen to give us a tail wind coming home. Carol & Steve were enjoying their first paddle at the reservoir. We explored the quarry site before circling the reservoir in an anti-clockwise direction. Plenty of black swans, ducks & herons were also enjoying the water. Photos were taken & a designated leader & tail person made for a safer paddle. We stressed the importance of keeping together, staying with your kayak & watching out for each other. Thank to all. Dennis
