Devilbend Reservoir – December 2018

It was great to see everyone already at Devilbend Reservoir when I arrived at 09:15 and we were on the water at 09:45, there were leaden skies with the threat of a thunderstorm as we made our way anticlockwise around the reservoir.

It was good to have Hillary’s daughter Caitlin with us for the first time, she spotted an osprey diving for a fish.

We experienced strong gusts at times but there were plenty of black swans & we saw a white faced heron also.

After exploring the quarry area it was great to see Linda, Martin & Penny collecting recyclables & other rubbish.

A lovely morning tea was enjoyed by all thanks to Penny, Martin, Bob & myself supplying a good spread.

Thanks to all for making this a successful paddle.
