Blairgowrie – March 2016

We all met before 9 am at Seaford Community Centre. Two cars were needed for our first trip down the bay. Tony had all the club kayaks on our trailer. Even though the tide was low we quickly had the five kayaks launched. Shane was paddling for the first time. He soon was keeping up with us as we headed for the Marina. The shallow sandbars meant that we had to weave our way along the shallows. Crested tern, Pacific gulls & seagulls were all sighted. After going for 30 mins we turned for our return. The breeze was off shore, ideal paddling conditions. Our five paddlers all enjoyed themselves. After packing up we returned for a lovely bar-b-que to finish off a successful outing. Thanks to all for your help.
