September 2015 – Riviera to Frankston

We had 8 experienced paddlers on this reasonably long paddle down our fabulous Kananook Creek. A car shuffle was organised from the Seaford Community Centre to behind the Riviera and for our return from Frankston. Plenty of teal ducks and a white heron were seen.Six paddlers made the complete 5 km trip while Lyn& Neil joined the others at Seaford. It was a scenic & quiet paddle with greetings from the local residents along the way. A very overcast sky threatened rain but the Northerly breeze made our job easy. Some very shallow spots were found near Beach Street. Both Neil & Rob found themselves high & dry at one stage. It took an hour & a half to reach Frankston but Tony had the billy boiling & sausages sizzling when we arrived. A pleasant lunch in fine conditions was much appreciated. Thanks to our paddlers  Carol, Marie, Joy, Penny, Lyn, Neil, Rob & Dennis. Once again we could not have done this without Tony. Well done!
